About Chanel Wilkinson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

I started my career as an RN in 1997 and I have practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 2003.
I got into medicine because, when I was 21, my father was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer. He passed away within 1 month of his diagnosis. As hard as that experience was, I learned to love the nurses and how they helped their patients during very difficult times. I realized during this time that medicine was my calling. I aim to treat my patients like I would treat my loved ones.
I am most fulfilled in my profession when I feel connected to my patients.
If I could give one piece of advice to my patients, it would be that life is short, live every day to its fullest!

From Chanel

I am knowledgeable, compassionate and outgoing with all of my patients. I like to practice in a way that is warm, friendly, and empathetic. I believe my compassion and honesty sets me apart from other providers.

Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, gardening, kayaking and fishing. I have been married to my aspiring fishing pro husband Scott since 1990; together we have 2 adult children, Austin, who owns a construction company and is the father to my beloved grandsons, Hox and Mason, who swore into the USAF on January 14, 2019.

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” – Mother Theresa
